Social Media still a hot topic in business

Crimzn was pleased to support the Welsh Government and e-Crime Wales team again for this year's e-Crime Wales Summit 2011.

In the run-up to the packed event in Cardiff, Crimzn produced several video interviews with individual Welsh businesses where they discussed their approach to using Social Media platforms in business communication. We also co-sponsored a longer video that brought together a number of viewpoints and approaches - very interesting conversations!

Crimzn supporting TEDxCardiff 2011

Another great day of what looks like diverse and fascinating talks is coming to Cardiff on Saturday 9th April.

TEDxCardiff is once again taking place at the Wales Millennium Centre and Crimzn is excited to be supporting the event by filming the main talks. There will be a live video stream sponsored by Sequence - and Crimzn videos of the talks will go up on web in the days following the event.

If you got a ticket - great - see you there! If not, don't feel too bad - tickets for both sessions were snapped up within an hour of going on sale!!

Cardiff gets it's own Comics Expo for 2011

It's always great to meet and see talented artists work - whatever discipline. And Comic fans in the UK now have another brilliant event for early next year with the new Cardiff International Comics Expo being held in the City centre at the Mercure Cardiff Holland House Hotel on Newport Road - on the weekend of 26th February 2011.

Looking forward to seeing some great artists and writers away from computers for a change!

Animators, VFX & Digital Creatives in Wales... Unite!

Getting involved in industry Groups and activities outside day-to-day work is something I try and make time for wherever possible. Very stimulating.

I sit on the Industry Panel for Skillset's Media Academy here in Wales and we're looking to expand the related Industry sub-Panel on Animation/Games and Visual Effects to bring in more creatives and practitioners working in Digital content - in all it's forms.

This, along with the newly-formed Wales Animation Movement (WAM!), hopes to bring together more people working in Animation and Digital in Wales with a view to more energetic meetups/events, collaboration and projects.
